my night out with the sequin dress
well here it is...what do you think? i decided to completely play it down with a pair of treggings from H&M and a belt, paired with my cute leopard pointy-toed shoes that i forgot i had (does that mean i have too many pairs of shoes?). chris and i went to The Sample Room for dinner and no one looked at me like i was crazy for wearing a sequin dress - so i for sure will try it again - maybe with tights next time.

black sequin dress
i have this fabulous black sequin tank dress. i found it at a thrift store for $7. it's delicious, in perfect shape, fits great...i love it. the problem is, i've never worn it. i don't know how, i don't know where. i rarely go out anywhere fancy, i rarely go out at all! so what do i do? i'm on a mission now. lately, i've been realizing that you can almost always downplay a fancy dress. pair it with some cowboy or biker boots, wear a denim jacket over it, throw on some colorful tights. it is now my mission to fit this outfit into one of my date nights. in fact, my mother-in-law is taking the kids tonight. should i try it tonight? i will let you know...pictures to follow!
