David Letterman is renown for some of his really off-the-top interviews, through no fault of his own. And the dudes over at Liquid Generation decided to put together a Top 10 list of David Letterman's worst interviews.

It's kind of a misnomer, though, because his worst interviews turned out to be the most viral and memorable.

Joaquin Phoenix High as a Kite on Letterman

Did you see Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman on February 11, 2009? I hope that Joaquin Phoenix is pulling our leg, otherwise he's going to overdose on something or other any minute now.

Not only was Joaquin Phoenix incredibly disrespectful by chewing gum, he acted like he had no idea what was going on. But as always, David Letterman managed to turn the whole thing into a joke and had the audience in stitches.

It's quite possible that Joaquin Phoenix is trying out some kind of weird experiment on us and David Letterman wasn't in on it, or it would ruin the eventual release on something great. That, or we're about to see the full on demise of a great actor turned rapper. He was there to promote his last movie Two Lovers, but it turned into a massive joke. And the beard and sunglasses just put the whole situation into overdrive.

The best part? When David Letterman says, "Joaquin, I'm sorry you couldn't be here tonight."

Top 10 George Bush Moments

David Letterman is a star, no doubt, and he has never made a secret about how he feels about George W. Bush, although it took the rest of the country a little while to follow. Now, he's able to laugh about it; I guess we all can, because, let's face it, the guy was a dunce.

Tom Cruise Does His Own Top 10 List on Letterman

Tom Cruise was on David Letterman on December 16, 2008, and he came on with his own Top 10 list of the craziest things that are said about him on the internet, and believe me, Tom Cruise has comedy chops yet.

Tom Cruise lists off on his Top 10 list and, although he cracks a laugh every now and then, he manages to make the audience holler with laughter, rather than the usual pity applause David Letterman usually gets when he lists off his own Top 10s.

Tom Cruise has been doing the publicity circuit for Valkyrie and I think he has managed to salvage his reputation and is seemingly normal again. He stopped preaching about Scientology and is able to laugh at himself. Now, I'm jusr waiting for Tom Cruise to appear on Saturday Night Live making fun of his religion - now that would be awesome.

Letterman Blasts McCain

I'm not a big fan of politics in general, but I do love David Letterman, and on September 24, 2008, he ripped into John McCain for canceling an appearance on his show at the very last minute. Apparently, John McCain had "suspended his campaign" in order to deal with the financial mess that the US is currently in.

But what David Letterman discovered is that, being the liar that he is, John McCain was actually across the street at Katie Couric's studio doing an interview with her. Wow, what an idiot. John McCain really is an old fool and he just did some serious damage. I think we should have him impeached.

Anyway, David Letterman called him on it and, I must say, this is one of the many, many reasons why I love David Letterman.
