Berkat City Hunter Fans Lee Min Ho Tambah 400 Ribu!

akarta – ‘City Hunter’, drama 20 episode yang dibintangi Lee Min Ho mengakhiri masa tayangnya pada 28 Juli lalu. Setelah drama tersebut berakhir, Lee Min Ho mendapat 400.000 fans di China!

Angka yang fantastis itu didapat dari kenaikan jumlah pengikut Lee Min Ho di Weibo. Weibo adalah media sosial yang digunakan penduduk China karena pemerintah mereka memboikot Twitter.

Jumlah pengikut Lee Min Ho sebelumnya berkisar di angka 900.000 orang. Tapi, setelah ‘City Hunter’ berakhir, pengikutnya meningkat drastis menjadi 1,3 juta.

Bukan hanya mengikuti di media sosial, gaya berpakaian Lee Min Ho di ‘City Hunter’ juga menjadi semacam kiblat di mana apapun yang dipakai pemeran Goo Jun Pyo dalam ‘Boys Before Flowers’ itu akan laku keras.

“Lee Min Ho bukan hanya jadi ikon pop terbesar di China, namun setiap baju yang ia pakai di ‘City Hunter’ terjual gila-gilaan,” demikian dikutip dari sebuah media lokal China dilansir Soompi, Selasa (2/8/2011).

Popularitas ‘City Hunter’ di China memang luar biasa. Dikabarkan 300 juta orang menonton drama tersebut melalui internet. Lee Min Ho diprediksi akan menjadi bintang Korea yang sangat populer di China seperti Kim Hee Sun, Lee Young Ae, Jun Ji Hyun, dan Song Hye Kyo.

Gara-gara SuJu, “KEPRET DANCE” Jadi Trending di Dunia

Jakarta – Jangan pernah sepelekan kekuatan dari fans KPop Indonesia. Dalam beberapa jam saja, mereka mampu menjadikan kata asli Indonesia dibicarakan di seluruh dunia lewat trending topic di Twitter.

Kata itu adalah “KEPRET”. Ada apa sebenarnya? Berawal dari boyband Super Junior baru saja meluncurkan video klip terbaru mereka yang bertitel ‘Mr Simple’ siang tadi. Dalam video klip tersebut, ada beberapa gerakan di mana para anggota SuJu mengibas-ngibaskan tangan seperti gerakan “kepret”, bahasa Betawi yang artinya memukul.

Karena ‘KEPRET DANCE’ menjadi trending topic, ELF (panggilan untuk fans Super Junior) Indonesia pun turut terkena efeknya. Saat ini ‘Indonesian ELF’ turut bertengger dalam daftar trending topic Twitter di Indonesia.

“KEPRET DANCE” >> Ini adalah kreativitas ELF Indonesia untuk memberi nama tarian ‘Mr Simple’.. Tarian pada chorus..,” ujar @WorldWideElfs sebuah fanbase Super Junior melalui akun twitternya, Kamis (4/8/2011). Twit ini kemudian di-retweet oleh lebih dari 100 orang.

Melihat popularitas Super Junior yang begitu besar di sini, masih mungkinkah Indonesia tidak jadi salah satu negara tujuan Super Show?

Kim So Eun baru-baru ini berpose dengan ‘Khun‘ dalam sebuah pemotretan untuk  ‘Oh Boy‘ magazine.

i know, i'm a mom. and i text. but for purposes of this blog post, i am talking about our moms. i'm not going to say old moms, cause chances are my mom is reading this. mom, if you're reading this, you're not old. read my post from the other day...you are a young soul. and you happen to look young, too. i mean, nora and i had to get our smokin' hot looks from someone, right? (and we all know it wasn't dad.) dad, if you're reading this, i'm kidding. nora and i are like your younger, girlier twins. ok, maybe not girlier. again, kidding. why are you so sensitive, dad?

anyways, back to texting. chris and i went to dinner last night at a neighborhood restaurant that nora and another sister (what up carrie?) happen to work at. during the course of our evening, my mom texted me. She was trying to tell me her plans for the weekend. what she was trying to say is that she is going to see my uncle greg and aunt dorothy this weekend. now, for some odd reason, we call dorothy "dot". she doesn't know this. dorothy, if you're reading this, pet names are a sign of love. i digress...and now i've rambled so much that the end of this story will no longer be funny. long story long, here is the series of texts i got from my mom.

frugal feathers friday: Salvaged Strawberry

welcome to our first edition of frugal feathers friday. if you don't know what it is, we are basically showcasing some of the most fashionable thrifters in the blogosphere. seriously, there are a ton! and we can't wait to show 'em off a little. if you know anyone who is an amazing thrifter, send him or her our way. and it doesn't just have to be clothes...it can be rooms, crafts, you name it. we love to see what people thrift!

our very first thrifter happens to be a dear friend, and our business partner. so clearly, we think she is the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas, the kipper's knickers (i had to google that one). amanda from Salvaged Strawberry is an amazing thrifter. we have had plenty of chances to shop with her, and trust us, it's always a fight to find the cutest stuff when you're with her. luckily, she goes for bathing suits and housewares first, so we have our shot at dresses! but really, amanda has an eye for beauty. she has a knack for finding the cutest pieces, and her sense of style is nearing perfection. she would say that she is a self-proclaimed granny dresser and she can wear a secretary dress like no one's business (it doesn't hurt that her legs are a mile long). and her decorating skills are amazing. every time i leave her house, i want to redecorate my own. so check out her blog...you can see for yourself how cute and funny and genuine she is. in the meantime, here's a few of our favorite pictures of her...
