new loves and old friends

good morning, all! i am feeling much better today. a couple of full night's sleep (well, a few kiddies waking up in the night doesn't really count), and some hot green tea really does the trick. oh, and i waxed my eyebrows and used some self tanner this morning...that always helps the ol' self esteem! this is the other outfit that i took pics of the other day. i looked with a new eye and decided that i did, in fact, like this outfit. so here goes...

i bought this weird crimper/curling iron the other night. it was on clearance at Target, so i figured, why not? have you seen these? it looks like a curling iron, but it has three tubes on it, so you can make "beach waves" with your hair. this is me after experimenting with it. i threw the headband on to make it a little bit smaller...and i now know not to try to crimp my bangs!

i have to admit, i did two of these posts today. maybe i'll post them both, we'll see. i am having one of those weeks where nothing looks right to me. do you ever have those? but hey, you still need to get dressed in the morning! don't get me wrong, i like both of the outfits i chose...i just didn't love the pictures. now i'm just feeling sorry for myself. *snap out of it and post the pic already!* here is the outfit i am actually wearing today. i love this skirt. it is the perfect length, the perfect waist size...it's so comfy and (i think) flattering. so here goes...

my fave part about these shoes is the lovely lining...a little hidden treasure!

and here i am leaving for work in my christmas hat...everyone needs a little whimsy in their life!

tuesday remix

this week's item is an old two birds skirt that i bought with my five finger discount! it is a talbots petites skirt and i do not remember where we bought it, but i love it. it is so comfy and i love the color and the white floral pattern. so sweet. i usually wear it as a dress...actually i think i have always worn it as a dress, so i thought i would try to remix it a couple of different ways. and i must say, i think love it even more now!

good morning, all! i hope everyone is having a lovely monday. i know, i know – i have already done an inspired alexa chung look. but honestly, i could and would dress like her every day of the week. she is flawless in my opinion. i pretty much love everything she wears. she is casual, yet glamorous...and stylish without making it look like she tries too hard. i just love her. so my apologies for copying her again...but i'm not making any promises that it won't happen again (and again, and again).
